About Me:
I am a young Nigerian, 24 years that is currently affecting change in my local community. Overtime I have become worried by the seemingly neglect of voices of young people when key decisions are been taken, this is even more disturbing when we remember that young people constitute more 70 percent of Nigeria’s population just as the constitute a high demographic in most nations of the world yet we have not seen that reflected in decision making process in their nations. Along with other team member, we have carried out programs that have been aimed at creating platforms where young people can make their voices heard on issues they feel strongly about. One of such projects is the Young Democract I prefer describing myself as significant and not just successful as one uses knowledge and experience to attain great heights in life while the latter is more concerned with improving the lives of others around him. I am a social enterprenuer because I am constantly finding innovative solutions to my societies problem.
Name of Organisation:
Youth Action Initiative
Location:
Jos, Nigeria
Why did you join this network?
The network will assist my future in many ways. One of which is the unique opportunity of creating and broadening networks that will out last the network therefore giving room for synergy in the future.

I see enough inspiration from the forum by reason of the who belong to the network since the forum promises to showcase some of the nations brightest young people and youth organizations that are daily committing themselves to building sustainable growth and development for our communities, there cant be a better inspiration.

The network will afford me yet a greater avenue to share and hear experiences with other young people the importance of this to my work cannot be overemphasized. The opportunity of exploring regional / national issues and celebrating our successes as young people further excites me.
What projects are you currently working on?
A democracy and good governance project
A youth anti corruption campaign
Let's talk MDG

I share in your thoughts and the voices of the youth must be heard. Sam, I think its high time the real youths not the wanabe po-li-ti-ci-an-Z take up the guantlet and project programmes that are realist, replicable and irrestible. Just for asking sake, Sam, do u really think Iwu INEC should leave now?
