Climate Talks!
Dear Friends,
Something big happened on Wednesday, November 3 at the United Nations climate talks in Barcelona. A delegate from the Gambia, speaking on behalf of all African countries, signified that Africa will not negotiate until rich countries make commitments on carbon emissions targets.
Africa staged a small revolution, and it was all because of you. Typically, delegates from small countries don't speak up forcefully, even if they disagree with what's being said. This time, they knew that they were supported by citizens in their own countries, because of the action you took on October 24. Now is the time to show Africa's delegates that you stand with them.
