The United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN-HABITAT, is the agency for human settlements. It is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all. The post is located in the Shelter Branch. Under the overall guidance of the Head of the Branch and the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Management Officer, Global Division, and the Programme Management Officer, Global Land Tool Network (GLNT), Land Tenure Property and Administration Section (LTPAS), the incumbent will perform the following functions:
1. BUDGET, FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Draft budgets, donor financial reports, budget revisions ensuring appropriate resource allocations and forecasts based on submissions; monitor the Branch's budgetary commitments, formal closures of projects, final budget revisions, transfer of equipment, clearance, publication and distribution of final reports; brief and debrief consultants, training institutions, partners, and other staff on administrative and budgetary aspects of projects; prepare monitoring and evaluation checklists, identifying stages of programme/project development; create funding documents in Integrated Management Information System (IMIS); establish proper monitoring systems through scheduled reporting, review meetings and discussions; establish databases of final expenditures for events, workshops, monitor United Nations Development Programme Inter Office Vouchers (UNDP IOVs), publications trainings; process obligations for contracts,
