WES: WORLDCLASS ENTREPRENEURS SERIES
Theme: Opening Nigerian Businesses to the world
About Programme:
Every year the world leaders gather at DAVOS, TED and the World Economic Forum to talk about WHY African businesses should be opened to the rest of the world. They show compelling indicators that Africa’s enterprise landscape is ready for the world but sadly, they rarely show HOW this will happen.
WES is therefore a response to the drawbacks holding the world in doing business with Africa. It leverages on Web 2.0 and the current social media (Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Skype) explosion as a tool to empowering Africa’s, and particularly Nigeria’s young and aspiring, entrepreneurs and professionals to becoming globally competitive.
With cognizance to barriers of globally incomparable business models and challenged enterprise values holding back entrepreneurship in Nigeria, WES is therefore reversing this by engendering a renaissance of values; presenting to entrepreneurs the empowerment of Web 2.0 business models to overcoming the limitations associated to their geography.
In achieving this, Landmark Internship International has collaborated with Networlding™ USA, a leading social media company harnessing the power of social networks for accelerating business growth and proliferating values-based enterprises around the world.
With this collaboration, the participants of WES would have the unparallel opportunity to connect and plug into the Global Business Network of Networlding on the world’s leading social networking sites. Through this connection, they would not only pitch their businesses to a global network of entrepreneurs, potential partners, investors, and clientele. But will also have the chance to incorporate Web 2.0 applications into their business models and re-commit to the values to Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration and Making a difference. These are the shared values of Networlding and Landmark Internship International.
Now is the time to change how the world sees the Nigeria entrepreneurship and turn perceived adversities into real opportunity, we look forward to seeing you at WES!
